\n'The city, filled with unrest, stretches across the hills: a tangle of languages and touches. A maelstrom of prayers and supplications rips the stillness of the afternoon, bells, the lamentation of the Hasidim, the sirens in the streets and the shouts of the merchants cut through the neighbourhoods'.
\nThis is how Ilana Zuckermann describes her dream city Jerusalem. The holy city is the theme of her composition \"Elegy for a dream city\", which she presented as a sound installation on a Danube ship on the occasion of the Ars Acustica in Linz in 1998.
