"Raymond Federman has been part of the American avant-garde since the early 1960s. The theme of his prose is his own story, told in ever new variations: the rescue of the twelve-year-old French Jew from the Nazis.
For his 80th birthday, Federman has written 'Bodyart': in 9 steps he zooms in on his hair, nose, toes or navel. The result is a self-ironic, existential and polyphonic body biography. Federman reinvents himself once again as a performer in the interplay with the musicians and the translator voice."
