The 10th grade of a secondary school in Berlin-Tempelhof deals with one of the most popular results of the New Radio Play, which was honoured with the Radio Play Prize of the War Blind in 1968: "5 Mann Menschen" by the Austrian authors Ernst Jandl and Friederike Mayröcker. Here, the lives of 5 people from birth to death are portrayed in a pointed and telegram-style manner - in just 14 minutes. This motivated the pupils to write and produce a radio play themselves. They used the formal language of the role model by presenting 'A Day in the Life of Pupil X' in a short radio play and considered the formal characteristics of the New Radio Play to be suitable for expressing their own problems. The artificiality of this form was obviously not an obstacle, but rather an incentive to play. The result was "20 Mann Menschen".
