'my men are many. more than one. they are zoomed in on the street. camera of the gaze. sometimes, not always, it is possible to capture their inner selves on the outside. then the text gains x-ray vision. my men are blind, bald, fat. does that sound tasty? surely not. they don't initially stand out as tasty morsels for my written mouth because they are particularly positive, but simply because they are different. they are different & more or less consciously flaunt their otherness against a conformist & jeans society. at least that goes for jack, the blind sticker man, and for paul, the bald violet representative of the x-trax brand. and for the fat drag queen wim - record on his head, with the red bobble on top - as she is more dragking in the end. a he, then.'
