Content:
While swimming in the sea in front of his house in Marinella, Montalbano collides with a corpse. The dead man is just one of many nameless people washed up on the Sicilian coast by the sea. A wave of illegal immigrants, abandoned on boats at night by gangs of smugglers, floods the island. When Montalbano tries to help a refugee child, it has unexpected consequences.
