Hebbel's drama "The Nibelungs" is to be performed to mark the 100th anniversary of the Meister company, which has specialised in the more lucrative poisonous gases rather than soap production. The roles are divided up between the Meister family and the management. There is a Franconian counterpart for every Hebbel character, and the closer the premiere gets, the more the theatre of the stage mixes with that of life: company boss Meister wants to get rid of his notoriously unfaithful wife so that he can marry his mistress. Remarks: In Franconian dialect.
