Content:
Three women and one man tell each other stories - variations on a theme that worries them all and can only be told in passing. Everyday phenomena and their own habits of life are the ones in which they are all occasionally struck by a strange panic that seems ridiculous to them in retrospect and yet does not let go.
A man and three women around forty. What they share with each other is their own fear of death. A fear that is in them, not only in the events that could happen to them. Having become observers by living alone, death appears to them as the "greatest conceivable intensification of loneliness". Narrating, almost cheerfully, they try to settle in with their fears of death.
