Content:
Three women and a man tell each other stories - variations on a theme that worries them all and can only be told in passing. It is everyday phenomena and their own habits that occasionally strike them all with a strange panic, which in retrospect seems ridiculous and yet never lets go.
A man and three women in their forties. What they tell each other is their own fear of death. A fear that lies within them, not only in the events that could happen to them. Having become observers through living alone, death seems to them to be the "greatest conceivable intensification of loneliness". Narrating, almost cheerfully, they try to come to terms with their fears of death.
