Content: The body of a young girl is found near a small Norwegian village. It is fifteen-year-old Annie. She is naked and only covered with a windbreaker. At first glance, everything points to a sex murder. But the autopsy reveals: Death by drowning. There are no traces of a struggle. Inspector Sejer takes over the case. His investigations do not lead to the decisive findings for a long time, but they do lead deep into the inner life of the families in a modern Norwegian village.
